Athena Medical Headwear began during the COVID era, when my fellow nurses and coworkers started asking for the comfortable, protective headwear I was creating for myself. What began with a few requests grew into a handmade brand centered on comfort, hair protection, individuality and quality.
Every Athena piece is satin-lined and thoughtfully made, one piece at a time, to help protect your hair while giving you a comfortable, secure fit — whether you’re heading to work, caring for yourself, or simply expressing your personal style.

How do I choose the right size?
Our headwear styles are designed as one-size styles with different secure-fit features depending on the product. Only our Athena Bonnets are offered in Small and Large sizes.
How should I wash my Athena headwear?
Machine wash warm on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low. Do not use bleach to help preserve the fabric and print.
Will my headwear stay securely in place?
Yes. Each Athena style is designed for a secure, comfortable fit using the appropriate construction for that style — ties, elastic and/or an adjustable toggle.
What is your return/refund policy?
For hygiene and safety reasons, all Athena Medical Headwear sales are final and we cannot accept returns or exchanges once an item has been shipped. Because our products are worn directly on the head, returned headwear cannot be safely placed back into inventory or resold.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order information and photos. Once the issue has been reviewed and approved, Athena Medical Headwear will provide an appropriate replacement or store credit. Refunds are not provided for change-of-mind purchases or sizing selections.
